About Iron & Oak
Founded in 2014 on Mill Street, Iron & Oak began as a single chair and a simple belief: a proper haircut shouldn't be hard to get, and booking one shouldn't be harder.
Marcus Reid spent a decade in Birmingham's busiest barbershops before opening Iron & Oak. He'd watched too many regulars give up on booking — the phone never answered, the Saturday queue was endless, and rescheduling meant starting over. So he built a shop where the booking works as well as the cut.
Today, four barbers share the floor: classic scissor work, modern skin fades, traditional hot towel shaves and everything in between. Every appointment is booked against genuine live availability, confirmed instantly, and reminded automatically — so the only thing you need to think about is the cut.
We're independent, we're local, and we're proud of it. Walk in for a cut and you'll get a proper welcome, a proper chat, and a cut you'll be happy to come back for.
