Behind the Booking System
This page explains what a barbershop owner can configure and manage through the connected booking system behind this demonstration website. It's intended for business owners evaluating the system — not part of the everyday customer booking experience.
You're in Control of Your Bookings
From opening hours to automated reminders, here's everything a barbershop owner can manage through the connected booking system.
Set the hours, block the gaps
Control exactly when the shop and each barber are available to take bookings — from regular weekly hours to one-off closures and holidays.
Shop opening hours
Set the shop's regular opening and closing hours so bookings are only offered when the business is actually open.
Day-by-day hours
Configure different opening hours for different days of the week — later closes on weekends, half days, or a closed Monday.
Individual barber schedules
Manage each barber's and stylist's own working schedule, so appointments are only offered against the times they are genuinely available.
Holidays, days off & breaks
Block staff holidays, days off and break times so those slots are never offered to customers.
Blocked dates & slots
Mark specific dates or individual appointment slots as unavailable at any time, for any reason.
Bank holidays & special hours
Handle bank holidays, temporary closures and special one-off opening hours without changing the regular weekly schedule.
Confirmations, reminders & self-service
Keep customers informed automatically, and let them reschedule or cancel themselves — without picking up the phone.
Confirmation emails & SMS
Send customers an automatic appointment confirmation by email and SMS the moment a booking is made.
Automated reminders
Configure automated appointment reminders — for example 24 hours or 2 hours before the appointment — so customers show up on time.
Self-service reschedule & cancel
Customers can cancel or reschedule their own appointments using the secure booking-management link in their confirmation, with no phone call needed.
Managed through connected settings
Notification and reminder schedules are managed through the connected calendar and workflow settings, so timing and content stay fully under the owner's control.
One barber or many, all organised
Run a single shared calendar or separate calendars per barber, with services, durations and availability managed per person.
Single barber, one calendar
Support a single barber operating one shared calendar — ideal for an independent chair or a solo stylist.
Multiple barbers, individual availability
Support multiple barbers, each with their own calendar and individual working availability, so customers book the right person at the right time.
Organised by staff & service
Organise appointments by staff member and by service, keeping the diary structured and easy to manage.
Services & durations
Manage different services and appointment durations — from a 15-minute line-up to a 45-minute cut and beard.
No bookings when unavailable
Automatically prevent bookings during unavailable periods, holidays and blocked slots, so the diary never overbooks.
Manage your barbers' time in minutes, not hours
The everyday schedule changes a barbershop owner deals with — holidays, extra shifts, last-minute absences — each take just a few clicks in the connected platform. Here's how routine staff scheduling works, and why it's so much lighter than a paper diary.
Set regular working hours
Give each barber their own weekly routine — say, 9–6 Tuesday to Friday and 8–4 on Saturdays. Those hours become the baseline the booking system uses to offer their appointments.
Marcus works 9–6 Mon–Fri and 8–4 Sat. The diary only ever offers his chair during those hours — no 7am or Sunday bookings slip through.
Add an extra shift or working day
Taking on a Saturday market or covering for a busy week? Add a one-off extra shift or open an additional day for a barber without touching their regular schedule.
Elena picks up an extra Sunday before Christmas. The owner adds the Sunday shift once, and those slots appear for booking — then disappear again automatically the following week.
Block holidays and days off
Mark a barber's holiday, long weekend or planned day off in seconds. Those dates stop being bookable straight away, so the diary stays accurate without a separate spreadsheet.
David books a week off in June. The owner blocks the 7th–14th on his calendar — none of those days are offered to customers, and his Mon–Fri routine returns automatically on the 15th.
Handle an unexpected absence
When a barber calls in sick at short notice, the owner marks them unavailable for the day. New customers are no longer offered their slots, and the existing appointments on that barber's calendar are flagged for review — see below.
Liam is off sick on Wednesday. The owner marks him out for the day; the system stops offering his Wednesday slots and surfaces his three existing bookings so the owner can move each one to another barber or a new date.
When a barber can't make it
If a barber calls in sick or is suddenly unavailable, the owner marks them off for the day. The platform automatically stops offering their slots to new customers, so the diary never overbooks. Existing appointments on that barber's calendar are flagged for the owner to review — they can reschedule each affected customer to another barber or a new date, with an automatic notification sent to the customer explaining the change. No ringing round the whole appointment book.
Demonstration of configurable platform capabilities. The controls above describe what a barbershop owner manages through the connected calendar's staff and availability settings — they are not functioning live controls on this page.
Configurable in the platform
The capabilities above are available to a barbershop owner through the connected booking platform's calendar, staff and workflow settings. They describe what can be set up for a live installation.
Active in this demonstration
This demonstration runs the customer-facing booking flow so you can experience selecting a service, choosing an available time and confirming an appointment. Live notifications, reminders and staff-side administration are configured separately in the connected platform and are not shown on this page.
See the customer side for yourself
Try the booking flow as a customer would — pick a service, choose a genuinely available time, and confirm an appointment.
